Après-Ski Lounge Chair
Inspired by Estrie's ski culture, a combination of locally sourced cedar and recycled aluminium from damaged skis to create a sustainable lounge chair for gatherings.

Inspired by the social culture of après-ski, I explored how traditional lounge chairs could be reinterpreted using elements of ski equipment, combining familiarity, comfort, and sustainability.

Wood bending
To achieve the chair's curved profile, I experimented with wood bending using a custom made mould. Through laser cutting, layering, and clamping, I developed the curved components that define SKIAR's structure.
